A Small Light On Uttrakhand

Uttarakhand was established on 9 November 2000.initially, it was the part of the Uttarpradesh and also initially after separating from U.P it was called as Uttaranchal.it is the 27th state of india.DEHRADUN is the capital of Uttarakhand and state high court is in NAINITAL.

Small History of Uttrakhand


Uttarakhand is also called as the land of gods because of many temples of Hindu gods.Uttarakhand is mainly divided into two regions that are Kumaon and Garhwal. there is the majority of Hindus in Uttarakhand with minorities like muslims,Sikh,Christian etc.population is about 1.7 crore.UTTARAKHAND is the only state where Sanskrit is the official language with hindi.

Other languages that are spoken in Uttarakhand are kumaoni,garhwali,and jhonsari. Uttarakhand is also the birth place of two sacred rivers of india that is ganga and yamuna.in UTTARAKHAND there is also chota char dham which is kedarnath and badrinath along with gangotri and yamnotri.there is also hemkund sahib ,a sikh pilgrimage and valley of flowers in Uttarakhand.There are famous national parks in india that are Corbett national park and Rajaji national park.there are famous institutes, colleges and academies also in Uttarakhand that are described in Dehradun section.The current chief minister of Uttarakhand is HARISH RAWAT and governor is AZIZ QURESHI.

There are 13 districts in Uttarakhand ,6 are in Kumaon region and 7 are in the Garhwal region .
